Social Media Marketing Company EMarketer Report
The eMarketer report found there to be several hurdles that the savvy social media marketing company must overcome in the years ahead. First, more Americans must invest in a smartphone, which offers applications and full Internet browsing capabilities. While these phones are quickly gaining steam, smartphone users still comprise a fairly small section of the market. Second, marketers need to find the best apps to create their highly personalized campaigns. One needs to consider how mobile phones might be slightly different than computers. Third, marketers who spend money to develop innovative apps need to have organized media campaigns. Marketing dollars must also be spent on Social Media Marketing and SEO copywriting, press releases, banner ads, YouTube commercials and other avenues for promotion. After all, what good is having “the most useful application” if no one knows you’ve developed it? Lastly, we’re still missing a uniform method of measurement to track the success of mobile campaigns, which means that third-party media planning tools must be developed to assess a promotion’s success or failure.
