What to Pay A Professional SEO Company For

By now you’ve figured that your business really stands to benefit from professional SEO company services. But the real question everyone’s asking is: How can I fit this into MY budget? Also, we wonder: What am I looking for exactly? We want what works — nothing more, nothing less.
When hiring an expert SEO company, you’ll want someone who will respond quickly and courteously. You’ll want someone who will give you a realistic timetable (SEO takes time, probably a month). If an SEO company gives you unrealistic guarantees, you should be suspicious (no one can promise to get you to the #1 search engine position). A professional SEO company that promises to deliver reports, however, can be a trustworthy friend. Check the “testimonials” section for added validation and don’t be afraid to ask what sort of clients the SEO company services. (If you’re a smaller company with a smaller budget, it’s best to find an expert SEO company who primarily deals with smaller clients so you won’t be pushed aside to the sidelines when bigger contracts come through.)
Next you should be aware of SEO company ranges. A higher cost may indicate more experience or a bigger operation, but doesn’t always equate with higher quality. Site consultations range anywhere from $500 (low), $2500 (mid) or $10,000 (high range). A manual link-building campaign can run you $500, $5,000 or $20,000. Viral content packages vary from $1,000, $7500 and $20,000, whereas a web design/development/marketing package may range from $5,000 - $25,000 - $100,000. The monthly retention for a low-end professional SEO company can be as little as $2500, $7500 for a mid-range operation and up to $20,000 for a high-end, according to SEOMOZ.org.
The good news is that you can start small and expand as your business expands. The best professional SEO company will offer you a range of packages and services to choose from. You may choose an hourly consulting plan or a per-project package. You may opt for profit sharing or performance-based pay in some cases. We’ll discuss the SEO company payment options in a future blog

Turn Corp Execs onto the Idea of a Search Engine Marketing Company

Sometimes corporate executives find it difficult to transition from past models of traditional advertising, where million-dollar budgets buy a target market, to newer models, where murky tactics yield big results. Search engine optimization is sort of like taking Ibuprofen for a headache or a cough drop for a sore throat: We’re not exactly sure how it works, but it does! Anyone who’s done a bit of research understands the significance of search engine optimization, web design and Internet marketing. However, convincing high level executives and managers to fork over a budget to hire a search engine marketing company can be a whole other story.

We recommend the following: First, sell your senior managers with analytics software that can track results. If they know they can see statistics and data that will justify their investment, they’ll be much more likely to sign on. Presenting the benefits in a colorful Powerpoint slideshow will make a solid case for hiring a search engine marketing company. Let executives know you can test out various strategies concurrently to see what works best and then decide where your resources are best allocated. It’s also helpful to see what other companies of comparable size are spending on their search engine marketing company budgets.

Next, you can hire your search engine marketing company that specializes in web design, search engine optimization, copywriting and Internet marketing. You will need at least 6-9 months to allow the web wizards to make their magic happen. These things take time, research, monitoring and a certain amount of experimentation, since every market is slightly different. Try to find a search engine marketing company will at least three years of experience and find someone who will communicate with you every step of the way, providing top notch customer service – so if your bosses want to know what’s going on, you can update them at the drop of a dime!

Attend conferences, read blogs and stay informed — By understanding the basic mechanics of the work your search engine marketing company will be doing, you can speak with some authority on their behalf at meetings.

The “Simple” Life Today Involves Hiring an SEO Company

Ah, the “simple life”… you got customers because they knew you personally, your business did well because you were the best, there were a handful of stores in town and “marketing” meant drawing up a few flyers. In today’s fast-moving, competitive world — unless you live in Peoria, Illinois or Round Top, Texas – you will need a complex (and more expensive) strategy. Given its proven efficiency, hiring an SEO company shouldn’t even be a question anymore, but rather an answer.

In today’s expensive, bottom-line-lingering world, it’s tempting to look for a “bargain.” But then again… remember that time you purchased a cheap wine cabinet from Wal-mart that was made in China, only to find that there was magic marker scribbled over the scuff marks, stripped screws, crooked-cut boards and about two weeks before it just fell apart?  When looking for an SEO company, sometimes you get what you pay for.

If a cheap SEO company promises you submission to thousands of search engines, the addition of hundreds of doorway pages, #1 rankings and thousands of links… it’s likely a bunch of old-fashioned rubbish. However, if a reasonably priced SEO company can offer you customized packages with a variety of options to suit your need, print-outs to indicate progress and a whole host of search engine marketing techniques (website design, content creation, targeted keywords, inbound linking, blogging, etc) then you just may be in business!

One last word about “the simple life”… life moves a little slower around here. Take a breath of fresh air with the time you’ll be saving (by not stressing over your website.) Visit with your family a little more, take that vacation you’ve been planning, cram that workout in. Give your new SEO company at least a good six months (with billions of websites out there, magic doesn’t happen overnight) and see what an SEO company can do for you!

The Price of Hiring a Professional SEO Company (Or Not!)

According to a 2008 study done by the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization, experience in search engine marketing can be rather costly these days. The published results indicated that a professional SEO company with over five years of experience could cost you between $100,000 and $200,000 per year. For an SEO company with less than five years of experience, the cost is still $60,000 - $100,000 annually, on average.
So what does this tell us? For one, it tells us that search engine marketing is not something you dump on an inexperienced existing employee who already has a full plate of work. The study found that 35% of the search engine marketers were hired solely for that job, with an additional 26% carrying the “entry level analyst” title. Smaller percentages indicated that, in some cases, senior analysts, managers, directors, Vps and senior managers were trying to wear the SEO company hat. In those cases, hiring/training costs were tacked onto $200,000 salaries. It’s reasonable to assume if you’re paying someone that much money, they’ll do a decent job at whatever you throw at them. But can an expert SEO company give you more mileage for less money? Certainly.
In another key study from 2005, iProspect & JupiterResearch marketing firms surveyed 636 individual marketers and 224 agencies to study return-on-investment from SEO company performance. Of those surveyed, 35% reported that SEO company search engine optimization outperformed search ads. Secondly, 42% of the respondents who outsourced their search engine optimization to an expert SEO company reported a higher return-on-investment (an additional 11% had no idea what was or wasn’t working, if that tells you anything!)
Duane Forrester, lead SEO program manager for Microsoft, says that the SEMPO study found most larger companies deal with monthly SEO company budgets of $200,000 or more. “We anticipated a lower ceiling of monthly spend closer to the $100,000 range so we were pleasantly surprised,” Forrester remarked. “The $200k monthly spend is a healthy barometer of the search marketing industry and it syncs up with SEMPO’s current trend projections that SEM spending will double by 2011, to more than $18 billion.”

The Marketing Sherpa Recommends a Search Engine Marketing Company

The Marketing Sherpa Summit’s “Landing Page Handbook” just released its study of the outsourced search engine marketing company, shedding some light on emerging trends in online marketing. Since you’ll like be spending most of your advertising budget here, it’s good to see what others are doing to be sure you’ve got the competitive edge.

One of the most noteworthy findings was the big dollar difference between having an in-house SEO versus an outsourced search engine marketing company. When it comes to converting web traffic to sales, the outsourced search engine marketing company was king. In-house SEO resulted in a conversion rate of 2.62%, while outsourced search engine optimization boasted a conversion rate of 4.76%! Similarly, in-house pay-per-click management cashed in at 3.84%, while outsourced PPC brought in 5.4% (roughly 40% more business).

The 2006 Sherpa report also found that people who used a search engine marketing company saw, on average, a 110% jump (compared to the 40% increase that software or in house methods produced). Generally business moguls were spending 12.9% of their marketing budget on search engine optimization. Well, the numbers are in: a search engine marketing company is clearly the way to go.

Tapping Social Media with a SEM Company

Does social media really warrant redeveloping your entire marketing plan? Is it unnecessary to ask your search engine marketing company to develop and maintain a personal profile for your business? Let’s put it this way: with millions of users hopelessly addicted to these sites, spending hours there each day, you’d be crazy not to tap that well!
One way that a search engine marketing company may bring people to your site is through encoded images. Each word in the title and tags of the images on a Myspace page are extremely relevant. Often if you type a word into Google image search, you’ll be directed to a picture from someone’s Myspace profile! If you click on the picture to look further, you may find yourself invasively skimming through some complete stranger’s profile! “So,” the savvy search engine marketing company says, “Why not yours?”
What better way to showcase your business’s popularity and credibility than by gathering thousands of social media “friends?” It takes a while to get your base established. You will have to assume that hours will be spent sending out add-requests. (It usually works out to this ratio: Your search engine marketing company sends out 200 requests and gets 50-60 friends.) However, over time these “friends” can provide invaluable feedback, testimonials and launch a word-of-mouth campaign that rivals any other marketing plan you’ve tested — and at a much lower price tag. It’s no surprise that there are so many upstart clothing companies marketing their catalogs and online shopping capabilities exclusively through Myspace, networking with musicians and models to drive their business along the way.
Your search engine marketing company may recommend running contests and promotions to double your sales in one day. Or your professional search engine marketing company gurus may use these social media sites for additional keys to the inner workings of your consumer’s minds. (For instance, they may notice that the purchaser of your products is also totally into “green/eco-friendly” products, which may give some direction as to future product development.) Another popular option is to look into advertising on these social networking sites as an additional lure.

SEO Company Success Stories

Nothing makes my day like an SEO company success story. Obviously, my company’s own testimonials and triumphs make me happiest. Yet, I still find myself feeling up, even if it wasn’t my personal achievement. Why? Because, while we’re all competitors, there’s still this very basic sense of “We’re all in this together” or “It’s us versus the search engine bots.” We’re all ambitiously trying to crack the codes and keep on the upswing of this tremendously fast-paced (and exhilarating) ride we lovingly refer to as “Internet marketing.”

This week I read that Monster.com has been making significant search engine optimization changes over the past few months – and as a result, the amount of organic traffic jumped 26%, with a 13% revenue increase this quarter! Thanks to a newly designed homepage that better reflects the “Monster” brand, an SEO company helped Monster attract a market, appeal to that market and create more repeat visitors. Having a fresh layout that allows visitors to instantly find the information they desire is the quickest way to drum up more support. If you have related articles that interest people and keep them captivated, they will be drawn back regularly, so long as you keep maintaining your content.

Additionally, I read another SEO company success story for Mini Cooper car leasing in the UK (Cooperlease.co.uk). Just three weeks after the site’s launch, they found themselves in the top Google slot with over 200 hits per day. This is all thanks to the work done by their SEO company, they say. In October, the site had 292 visitors (with 25 visitors finding them through associated Google searches). The following month, the site had 694 visitors (with 75 visitors finding them through associated Google searches!) Their site is growing organically, without any gimmicks. They’ve just focused on creating relevant news and content that interests people. If you write it, they will come: This has always been my favorite mantra. Hey, that’s why you’re here, right?

Search Engine Marketing Company Awards Offer Some Tips

I always love to hear about who’s won this award or that award. There seems to be not limits to human ingenuity and the marketing world draws some of the best and brightest. Through an in-depth knowledge of psychology, sociology, art, communication and persuasion, these marketing pros deliver results.

The Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association awarded Sherpa! Web Studios the “Most Effective Search Engine Marketing” award this year. The search engine marketing company helped surge search engine web traffic 450% for SPANX by Sara Blakely over a one-year period, thereby increasing sales.  How’d they do it? Just good old-fashioned search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising. Some of their top-ranked keywords were unique and targeted phrases like “body shapers” or “footless hosiery.” All things considered, SPANX paid 1 cent/visitor. Now isn’t that a deal?

I checked out some of the other winners with the burning questions that every search engine marketing company is dying to know: “What’s everyone else doing? What’s working? Are there any new trends?”

As expected, new trends include: social media, crowd participation, blogging and videos. For instance, one search engine marketing company used email marketing with videos for the Intercontinental Hotels Group Priority Club to get a 10 to 1 return-on-investment in just two weeks, upping the site views by 125,000. Another search engine marketing company won “Most Effective Online Brand Experience” for a Home Depot sweepstakes that encouraged over 300 users to share holiday images, videos and stories, creating a memorable brand experience. Crowne Plaza created its own virtual island for the Second Life video game, which garnered tens of millions of media hits since June 2007.

Other winners used a combination of email marketing, search engine optimizing, viral videos, online sweepstakes / giveaways, social media researching and blogging to connect with their target markets. The best campaign you can get is a word-of-mouth campaign, which reaches furthest and fastest.

Pay Models for a Search Engine Marketing Company

As promised, here are the various pay models for hiring a professional search engine marketing company. Not every search engine marketing company can accommodate every model, but most places will give you some reasonable options to work with. Some of the most popular include…
Hourly Consulting:
For a small budget, paying your search engine marketing company by the hour is one way to get your feet wet. Entry-level consultants may charge $40-50 and a professional search engine marketing company that’s actively seeking new clients may charge anywhere from $100-200/hour. However, some high-demand or overly swamped SEO companies charge more in the ballpark of $300-500, topping out at $1,000 with SEOmoz.
Project-Based Consulting / Contract Services:
Project-based consulting is a great way to “test” a new search engine marketing company. If you like the work that they do, you can keep the contracts coming. If not, then you can continue searching. After an initial consultation, you can talk with your professional search engine marketing company about your goals and priorities to put together a workable package that may include web redesign, keyword research, search engine optimization, article writing and other services. Prices vary greatly but a good SEO company can generally work within your budget.
Profit Sharing:
Sometimes a search engine marketing company will agree to performance-based pay, which begins with a small down payment and pays over time using a percentage of revenues from website traffic and sales. Many SEO companies don’t like this model because business is not just done online these days and it can be hard to calculate accurately. Sometimes pay-per-lead, pay-per-action or pay-per-ranking deals are possible, although this arrangement isn’t common.
Monthly Retainer:
Some professional search engine marketing companies are on long-term plans with a standard workload and pay each month. This is a great way to incorporate SEO and search engine marketing into an overall advertising budget over time. Search engine marketing success won’t happen overnight but it’s essential for any business venture.

New Trends For a Search Engine Marketing Company

I recently read an interesting interview with Jeffrey Pruitt, president of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), where he talked about the future of search engine marketing company techniques and trends for 2008. One reason many businesses hire a professional search engine marketing company is that they understand the world of online marketing is not the same as traditional advertising, although it’s every bit as relentless and fast-evolving.
“The biggest trend is the convergence of display and search advertising,” Pruitt predicts. He predicts that more attention will be paid to content ads and video ads. “Social media is another trend. Imagine getting an email from someone, clicking on their name and receiving their Facebook profile.” Such is the way of the future, he says.
He talked a little about the biggest challenges facing the search engine marketing company today. One is maintaining visibility. “Marketers have to think holistically through the customer-buying funnel,” Pruitt indicates. “In doing so, they have to understand the search insights that can be gained from various tools — not just in keyword research, but also analytic tools to understand customers’ personas.” Secondly, he adds that customers are looking for more than just text these days — it’s all about interactive content, videos and creating meaningful connections.
Pruitt explains that integrating search with other digital media starts with market research. “Both linguistically and from a competitive standpoint, you need insight into what your customer is doing online,” he explains. “It’s any content they are interacting with online. You create and optimize that content, but you also advertise across those same networks.”
The future of the search engine marketing company looks like it will be more than just optimizing text then, but will include a whole host of social networking, forums, blogs, viral videos and advertising campaigns that will take direction from statistics but will ultimately revolutionize how web users experience the Internet.

Getting to the Top With a Search Engine Marketing Company

Over 150 million Americans use search engines regularly to look up information on products and services. Of those web users, 60-70% only look at the first page of results.  The goal of the search engine marketing company, then, is naturally to propel your page to the top of the search engines for your market so you can reap the benefits of increased traffic and sales.

Getting to top position takes a bit of know-how, say search engine marketing company professionals. “Using complex algorithms, these spiders, crawlers and robots are able to locate a page on a site and then index its content into their database,” explains Andrew Hazen, author of “Plain & Simple: Search Engine Optimization.”

Then, when a query is typed, the more relevant the  content is, the higher the ranking will be, so ideally you’ll want your keywords to range from the general to the specific. Everything from your “URL, page name, title tags, body content and clickable links” is important for indexing your site, says Hazen, so it’s especially important that you hire a search engine marketing company to bring an in-depth knowledge of what people are searching for.

E-commerce consultant Peter Kent says that a smart search engine marketing company will use keyword analysis tools like Wordtracker or Keyword Discovery to see which keywords are important and which ones are duds.

“Any well-rounded website will link to other relevant websites, directories and trade associations,” adds Kevin Carr, a search engine marketing company director from Irvine, California. The importance of inbound links cannot be overstated.

It’s also not a bad idea to hit at least one search engine marketing company workshop, if you can swing it. (At $399/registration, it’s certainly not cheap… but you’ll learn about everything from web analytics and search engine marketing to social media, email newsletters and web blogging.) With search engine marketing poised to triple in the next five years, it’s best to stay abreast of the most cutting edge research before your site gets left in the dust.

Get To Know SEO Basics Before You Call an SEO Company

You may cringe while going over the budget, but you’ll simultaneously be sighing with relief once you hire an SEO company to tackle the difficult task of Internet marketing. No one in the office was particularly keen on it and you haven’t the slightest clue what a “meta-tag” or “inbound link” is — or an extra 120 hours/month to devote to it, for that matter. Of course, hiring an SEO company still doesn’t save your hide when you have to explain your business’s performance to shareholders, other corporate executives or company presidents. Knowing the very bare bones basics of search engine optimization will help you understand the best way to strategize with your new business partners and report on marketing progress at the next meeting.

First of all, understand that there is a good way to approach SEO and a bad way. While the vast majority of SEO companies are trustworthy, knowledgeable and skilled, you also need to know what a “Black Hat” SEO company is – and what one could do to you. The Black Hat SEO company will use link farms, keyword stuffing, link baiting, link spamming, competitor sabotaging and other nefarious tactics to boost your company. However, once search engine bots catch on, your site will be blacklisted and you can kiss your entire web promotion effort goodbye. No one will ever be able to find your site if you become one of the villainous sites trying to kill off the competition. Good luck explaining that to the boss!

On the other end of the spectrum, you want to be able to talk intelligently with your SEO company and develop customized strategies that will best improve your business. You want to be able to discern what’s going on from the web traffic statistics your SEO company gives you. You’ll want to direct your SEO company as a visionary, without having to know the actual mechanics of how the job gets done. By having a working knowledge of all the various marketing options, you can be sure you’re getting the best deal and confidently take the next step.

To learn more about what an SEO company does, you can speak with an SEO consultant, purchase an online training program (like SEMPO Institute), read a book (like The SEO Bible), or join an SEO community (SEObook.com). Several hours invested can go a long way to ensure the best results.

Find Your Voice with a Professional Online Marketing Company

Blog marketing works. It works so well, in fact, that many search engines have added a blog search category. WHY? Because people naturally crave that informal tone and insider expert opinion. We like a little bit of character with our information. We like to laugh, smirk, be surprised and be informed. More often than not, strict sales copy comes across artificial and untrustworthy. I mean, how many “Movie of the Year’s” can there possibly be? And how many “satisfaction guaranteeds” do we have to read before we stop and say, “I’ve had enough! I wasn’t born yesterday! This can’t be true!”
Of course, there are also those blogs — clearly not written by a professional online marketing company — where the voice is so full of enthusiasm, it just repels us away like bug spray. “This person is borderline psychotically obsessed with this product,” we think as we click to a new site. Or how many times have we visited a website in hopes of finding information, but all we find are keywords on top of keywords that don’t even make grammatical sense? So, how does one find an appropriate blogging voice, without sounding over-the-top enthusiastic, corny or full of unnecessary keywords?
The easy answer is to hire a professional online marketing company that offers copywriting services. For between $100-$200/month, you could have fresh content added to your site — promoting your products, chalk full of relevant keywords, with appropriate tone and useful information. The best way to capture an audience and gather repeat sales is through an effective blog, so save some time and aggravation with an online marketing company.
A professional online marketing company will ask about your long and short term goals. They will understand that keywords are important but sensible, relevant content is king. They will know that “What’s in it for me?” should be at the heart of each post. They will hear each word being spoken, as if a person is reading the blog aloud. They will understand the importance of quotes, facts, sources and using lively (but not lofty) language. They will know the value of a well-written headline. They will keep a consistent voice from post to post and avoid repeating useless drivel. By the time you finish reading the first batch of blogs written by your professional online marketing company, you should feel like you know your copywriter like a best friend!

Components of Professional SEO Company Strategy

The components of a professional SEO company strategy may vary, but they’re all based around your needs and the ever-evolving industry standards.
Since so much information on how search engine bots rank pages is purposefully shrouded in secrecy by Silicon Valley executives, most of what we know comes from trial and error, published web statistics, industry success stories and years of experience. Often times, it’s sort of like a cat-and-mouse game: the expert SEO company finds system loopholes to push their clients to the top of the search engine ranking… and the search engine developers/bots find ways of discouraging strategies that helps any one company gain advantage over another.
However, the reason so much is held secret and so much changes month to month is all for one admirable goal: to protect Internet users from useless garbage and provide the most relevant, useful answers to every individual’s one burning question he or she’s come to the Internet for. While many variables will come and go, an SEO company knows that all a search engine bot’s really looking for is a site with a popular circle of trustworthy friends, whose best interest is the reader.
To show your popularity, a professional SEO company will have to, again, perform hours of research to see who’s leading your industry in page ranks. The SEO company can then work on your behalf to cultivate valuable “you help me / I’ll help you” relationships. Remember, a link from one highly rated site is much more valuable than 100 links from lower ranked sites.
To prove that you’ve got better content than the competition is where it gets tricky and enlisting help of a professional SEO company is particularly salient. Google isn’t completely Draconian, after all. They have given us several tools that encourage self-improvement. The idea is that it will benefit us all if web developers know what words matter to web users, which will in theory produce more relevant content. These tools result in pages and hours of boring research. Luckily this “boring research” is the bread and butter of an expert SEO company, so you won’t have to be bothered with it. The end result can put together in a meaningful package and may require content production or rewriting a few things, which your SEO company will gladly do for you.

Budgeting for SEM Company Link Building

Link building is crucial, but many companies aren’t sure how much manpower and resources they should dedicate to link building. Generally a search engine marketing company will have some ideas on how to approach this issue.
When determining what to invest, there are several things to consider. The first is, how much business do you get via the Internet, and how much business could you get via the Internet? Another thing to think about is what the competition is doing. Why spend more than you have to, if you’re already blowing everyone else in the industry out of the water and your search engine rank is top-notch?
A search engine marketing company has many avenues for link building: email requests, marketing campaigns, public relations article publishing, or blogging about other sites (and letting them know, in hopes they’ll return the favor.) Sure, there are link farm sites… but STAY AWAY! These can actually hurt your ranking since it’s a cheap trick that Google bots are already onto. If software or a search engine marketing company is offering you thousands of inbound links seemingly overnight, it’s probably a big scam.
Link building takes a fair amount of time and it’s unrealistic to expect overworked individuals to simply “add link building” to their swamped marketing agenda. Therefore, it’s smart to hire a search engine marketing company that’ll put this agenda at top priority. Outsourced professionals are generally highly skilled in their field and can allocate resources much faster than the untrained intern slaving away in your office.

Ask Your Search Engine Marketing Company About This…

I used to think that web design was mostly a matter of personal taste. Some people like light colors, while others prefer dark. Some enjoy vertical side bar navigation bars, while others like a more horizontal header menu. Want to design your page with FLASH web animation, include photos or attach special features like shopping carts and blogs? Well, the possibilities are limitless and it’s all about what you think looks good, right?

Well, that’s sort of true. But search engine marketing company research is coming up with some new realizations about web design. Search engine marketing company professionals are saying that web crawlers for Google, Yahoo and other search engines could be missing your site entirely because of the choices you’ve made! Perhaps your site is poorly encoded or your link farming has backfired. There are a whole host of things you may have misjudged!

For instance, using generic keywords on your homepage is the quickest way to bury your site. (Instead, be specific and know what your target audience is searching for, exactly!) Secondly, your site may look amazing — but packing your site with all videos and all photos and little content is a major mistake. (Web crawlers are looking for keyword phrases for the most part, so adding a blog or news section can really boost your ranking.) Thirdly, realize that FLASH and fancy animations are good for “wow” factor but bad for a larger audience. (If anyone with a slow Internet connection, out-of-date drivers or the average web crawler tries to view your FLASH site, the graphics may not load right and you’ll lose your audience. If you really have your heart set on FLASH, then make an HTML site too.)

Other web design features that web crawlers like include: inbound links from other credible sites, multiple pages of optimized content, adding a “search” feature for easy navigation,  avoid using frames, include your most important keywords in the left-hand navigation bar, avoid JavaScript, avoid placing text in graphic format and make sure all your internal pages link back to the homepage. It’s best to hire a professional search engine company to help you design with search engine web crawlers in mind.

A Search Engine Marketing Company Can Direct Your Campaign

Marketing managers are seeing this on the front pages of all the marketing magazines and say `We need to invest in digital marketing but how do we go about it’,” says Russel Easther, a marketing consultant.
He adds that when you’re looking for a search engine marketing company, there’s no limit to what you can find. You can see who is visiting your website, how long they’re staying, if they’ve visited before and what country they’re located in. This information may seem inconsequential at first, but it can really help direct your marketing efforts, showing you where your time and effort are best spent.
“Senior marketing management have not had the learning experience of going through digital campaigns or a digital marketing site so they give it to junior guys,” adds Easther, “but their project management skills and their knowledge isn’t fantastic either. That’s very dangerous. It’s a big investment.”
He says that businesses should start with a small budget and find a search engine marketing company that will track cost and performance to decide what the next best step will be. Statistical data can tell a search engine company if the business’s campaign is working or where to spend more money to get the most targeted audience. In addition to hiring a search engine marketing company, some smaller businesses may find that a software package can measure some of what they’re trying to do. However, Easther recommends using a reliable search engine marketing company to get started. Computers are useful, but nothing beats manpower!
